Aberdeen, SD, October 1, 2012 – Michael Evans, owner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Centennial Homes was inducted into the National RV/Manufactured Housing Hall of Fame. Over 300 family, friends, and colleagues were in attendance for the induction ceremony held at the RV/MH Hall of Fame and Museum inElkhart,Indiana on August 6, 2012. “This hall of fame induction is very much appreciated as recognition of my 43 years in the industry. I have to thank my family and all the employees of Centennial Homes who were an integral part in our contributions to the industry over those years. The fact that my family was able to attend the ceremony completed the evening for me.” Michael shared. Evans was honored for the integral role he has played in the manufactured housing industry over his 43 year career. His strong leadership and progressive ideas have pushed the industry forward. He has served on the board of the South Dakota Housing Association and the North Central Manufactured Housing Institute. During that time he has also served several governors committees on issues of manufactured housing taxation, movement and zoning.
As stated in their mission, the RV/MH Hall of Fame is “Dedicated to preserving the history and honoring the pioneers and individuals who have made significant contributions to the RV and Manufactured Housing industries.” Since the RV/MH Heritage foundation was formed in March of 1972 they have inducted 339 industry pioneers and leaders into their Hall of Fame. “It is an honor to be included along with such an elite group” said Evans when speaking about his induction. I began my career with Centennial Homes in the sales department in Rapid City, SD and after several years of cutting my teeth and learning what it means to be a true selling professional I was transferred to Bozeman, MT to become a Location Sales Manager. After a few years I was promoted and assumed the responsibilities of overseeing multiple locations as a Vice President of Sales. My newest challenge is the role of Corporate Recruiter and Trainer. I am probably most excited about this position because I have the ability to offer the people the opportunity I once received of a very challenging and rewarding career.
On November 10th Teresa, my wife, and I will have been married 21 years. Teresa wears many hats on a daily basis and does so better than anyone I know. As head of security for the Bozeman, MT airport she just recently received a national award for leadership. As a member of the Air Force National Guard she has been deployed overseas to the Gulf not once but twice and of course she is a wonderful mother to our children. If you are looking for a true American hero than look no further because she is the real deal. Together we have 3 children. Taylor is 18 and is currently attending the Air Force Academy Prep School as a dual athlete in both Volleyball and Basketball. Our middle daughter is Jordan and she will be turning 17 this month. Ceasar Millan look out because Jordan is truly the next dog whisperer. Jake is 14 and just started high school this year. His newest interest is bow hunting which I am very exited about.
I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful family and career.
Centennial Homes Expands Business into Dickinson

Joining our team Tuesday April 6th, is Darrell Hildebrand who will taking over the corporate service managers position. Darrell comes to us with many years of experience in the industry:
11 years at All American Homes in Dyersville, Iowa (a modular home manufacturer)where he was in charge of inspecting blueprints and homes to ensure proper construction, was promoted to the quality control manager for the plant, and became the field operations manager totally responsible for scheduling, setting of homes, and completion of homes with a crew of 24 delivery & set personnel.
3 years at Terrace Homes in Adams, Wisconsin (a modular home manufacturer) where he was the assistant production manager whose duties included managing various aspects of operations including customer sales & service, quality control, field operations which covered scheduling of deliveries, expediting construction, permits, bidding from contractors, contractor negotiation & selection, enforcing warranty guidelines, and building code compliance.
Darrell has a Bachelors of Science in Management from Upper Iowa University, Supervisory Training Certification from the University of Northern Iowa, and is a Certified Inspector of Modular Housing from PSF Third Party Inspection Agency.
As you can see Darrell has had a tremendous amount of experience in exactly the areas we operate in and will be an excellent resource for our company in managing these activities and leading our entire service staff. I will personally be doing the training and orientation with Darrell and we will be out to see all of you at the locations in the near future and by web cam meetings very soon.
Darrel’s wife and family will be moving to Aberdeen at the end of the school year.

This notification is a reminder of the regulations regarding Section 11 of HR3548, Worker, Homeownership & Business Act of 2009. This is the bill that extended the tax credit for qualified first-time homebuyers purchasing a principal residence. It also authorized a tax credit for qualified repeat homebuyers.

$8,000 First-Time Homebuyer Tax Credit
- Tax credit cap of $8,000 or 10% of sales price
- Must be a principle residence
- Could not have owned a home within 3 years prior to the closing date of a new purchase.
- Tax credit now applies to sales occurring on or after January 1 2009 and on or before April 30, 2010. In cases where a binding sales contract is signed by April 30, 2010, a home purchase completed by June 30, 2010 will qualify.
- For homes purchased on or after January 1, 2009 and on or before November 6, 2009 the income limits are $75,000 for single taxpayers and $150,000 for married couples filing jointly.
- For homes purchased after November 6, 2009 and on or before April 30, 2010, single taxpayers with incomes up to $125,000 and married couples with incomes up to $225,000 qualify for the full tax credit.
- Maximum sales price is $800,000
$6,500 Move-Up/Repeat Homebuyer Tax Credit
- Tax credit cap of $6,500 or 10% of sales price
- Eligibility requires buyer(s) to have owned and lived in their previous home for five consecutive years out of the last eight years as a principle residence.
- Available for homes purchased after November 6, 2009 and on or before April 30, 2010. However, in cases where a binding sales contract is signed by April 30, 2010, the home purchase qualifies provided it is completed by June 30, 2010.
- Single taxpayers with incomes up to $125,000 and married couples with incomes up to $225, 000 qualify for the full tax credit.
